The 182nd Executive Committee Meeting of Liberal International will be taking place during the 2009 Biennial Convention of LI Full Member party the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC), from the 1st to the 3rd of May in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
In addition to the Executive Committee meeting, we are pleased to offer a conference entitled “Strengthening the Liberal Agenda” in the framework of the LPC’s Convention. In this context, LI delegates will have the unique opportunity to attend a wide range of very interesting sessions on liberalism in both Canada and beyond, which will be attended by thousands of delegates from across Canada’s 308 constituencies, as well by international guests from throughout the world. Liberal luminaries, past and present, will be in attendance and the event will formally endorse the world renowned academic, journalist and politician Michael Ignatieff as the new leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
