LI’s constitution provides for the affiliation of two groups typically under-represented in political life – women and young people. Through our productive partnership, Liberal International aims to be at the forefront of redressing this global imbalance and to amplify the priorities of INLW and IFLRY.

IFLRY continues the tradition of two predecessors. The first was the World Federation of Liberal and Radical Youth (WFLRY), founded in 1947 in Cambridge, the second was the European Federation of Liberal and Radical Youth in 1969 that ten years later renamed itself IFLRY.
