Tbilisi 2016

In partnership with the Republican Party of Georgia (RPG – LI full member) and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Caucasus  (FNF – LI cooperating organisation), the 196th Executive Committee of Liberal International was held in Tbilisi, Georgia between 20-22 May 2016.

Under the themes of global security and countering expansionism, liberals convened on the front line between Russia and Europe to debate and to witness, first-hand, the consequences of foreign occupation of a sovereign state. A panel discussion on the EC theme was addressed by President of the Georgian Parliament, Hon. Davit Usupashvili and Georgia’s Minister of Defence, Hon. Tinatin Khidasheli among others.
