Hosted by the Liberal International British Group (LIBG – LI full member), under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the Rt. Hon. Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader and LIBG President Simon Hughes MP the 187th Executive Committee Meeting of Liberal International will take place in the city of London in the United Kingdom on 14-15 October 2011.

The theme for the Executive Committee meeting is the ‘Responsibility to Protect: A Liberal Approach?‘ and will feature key panels on this topic, with interventions like Developing a new post-Westphalia concept of national sovereignty of states and Transferring R2P from academic idea into political realities and governmental policy, as well as a report regarding RtoP.
