Each year, Liberal International presents the Prize for Freedom to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement and promotion of human rights and political freedoms.
The call for the LI Prize for Freedom 2021 nomination is now open, marking the 38th year that the Prize has been awarded. In the button below, instructions for nominating a candidate along with the nomination deadline of 31 May 2021 can be found.

Liberal International proudly commemorates the past laureates of the Prize, among which are Waris Dirie, Lord John Alderdice, Raif Badawi, Ilham Tohti, Senator Leila de Lima, María Corina Machado and 2020 Laureate Royal Highness Prince Zeid Ra’ad al- Hussein.
