At this year’s congress in Chile, several key leadership positions within Liberal International are set to be filled through elections, in accordance with the federation’s constitution. The roles open for election include the president, the deputy president, six vice presidents, and two treasurers. This structure, as defined in the Liberal International constitution, is designed to ensure balanced and effective representation across the leadership, enabling the federation to continue its work promoting liberal democratic values worldwide.
The constitution mandates that these positions be filled by individuals dedicated to advancing the principles of liberal democracy, individual freedoms, and international cooperation, with each role playing a crucial part in guiding our strategic direction. This upcoming election presents an opportunity for member parties to shape the future of Liberal International and reinforce its commitment to these foundational values on a global scale.
