Liberal International and SWISS UMEF UNIVERSITY are pleased to announce that the deadline for scholarship scheme (open for students from Africa to apply for master’s level study) which opened in December 2021, has been extended to 15 March 2022.
State President of Senegal, H.E Macky Sall, Liberal International President, Dr Hakima el Haité, in partnership with the Africa Liberal Network, and UMEF University Geneva’s executive committee, have secured 1,000 scholarships per year at master’s level, over five years, for participants who wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of leadership.
The aim of President Macky Sall and Liberal International, thanks to this UMEF contribution, is to facilitate access to valuable people who do not benefit from the means to come and study in Switzerland, but who have objectives and visions aimed at reducing poverty in the world, through education, with an advanced model of citizen empowerment and thus showing their commitment to future generations. These scholarships are exclusively personal and are neither refundable nor transferable.
The training will last for one academic year, starting on March 1, 2022 and will be provided via Zoom platform (virtual learning), on Fridays and Saturdays all day. The language of instruction for 2022 will only be in French. In 2023 however, the language of instruction with be in English. At the end of each semester, written exams will take place, ie two exams during the total duration of the training. Alternatively, a research project will be required. Successful students will be awarded an Executive Masters in Leadership (which is the same degree as that awarded to face-to-face students). The lecturers in this program are all highly qualified and hold a Doctorate Degree.

1. Holder of a Bachelor or equivalent title
2. The average of the Bachelor marks must not be less than 4.5 out of 6 (Swiss notation) or 12 out of 20 (French notation).
3. Participation in each session is compulsory
This program gives the student the essential tools for the transformation of a business or an organisation, allowing it to become a key player in its socio-professional environment. The training is based on the principles of leadership, which are primarily aimed at achieving the goals of the organization and ensuring the development of the people it leads.

At the end of the training program, the student will master the tools of management science (human resources, leadership theories and practices, organisational behavior, etc.). He will know how to communicate, lead a team, motivate, design and lead projects. In order to meet the objectives while motivating his team.
Management positions in international organizations, public and private companies.
1. The courses have been created so that every graduate who successfully completes the program will have learned critical thinking, effective problem solving, effective communication, emotional intelligence skills, planning and strategic thinking, skills quantitative, innovation and critical analysis.
2. Students will be able to understand the behavior of industrial and private consumers, and therefore to develop a promotional mix of products and services to meet their expectations.
3. Students will closely review the financial environment of the company and provide systematic and logical structures.
4. Students will be able to develop the interaction processes for total quality management for managers and work teams who are involved in the decision-making process of the organization, which ensures an improved working environment.
5. Students will be able to make economic and managerial decisions that take into account global economic situations, since strategic units are subject to many exogenous factors that managers cannot control.
6. Students are able to understand the impact and effect of all styles and approaches of leadership in the organization.
7. Students will learn the history of leadership theories and practice, and how to practice leadership models individually, locally, and globally.
8. Students will understand how ethics, morals and values relate to leadership dilemmas and will be able to integrate their lived experiences into the process of leadership development.
9. Students will develop a sense of confidence and confidence in themselves and their ideas, and this will allow them to be challenged without feeling belittled and they will be able to accept ambiguity.
