• The nature of climate change is urgent and complex.
• The significant contributions of African countries to global biodiversity and their unique vulnerabilities to climate change.
• The importance of inclusive governance and community engagement in climate action.

Considering that:

• That desertification is directly linked to drought, famine, migration, and military conflict.
• The impact of climate change is disproportionately large in African nations.

Calling for:

• Investments into education and public awareness in fostering sustainable practices.
• Collaborative international efforts and financing to support Africa’s climate resilience.
• A liberal approach that recognises the interconnectedness of human rights, environmental sustainability, and economic development in Africa.
• The use of green technologies and renewable energy sources.
