On December 9, in a significant development reflecting a change in Morocco’s position on the death penalty, the Minister of Justice, HE Abdellatif Ouahbi, member of LI full member party PAM, announced that Morocco plans to vote in favour of the tenth United Nations resolution on the moratorium on the use of the death penalty. This move is in line with Morocco's commitment to strengthening the protection of the right to life, in accordance with Article 20 of the Moroccan Constitution.
