Considering:

Expressing:

Deep concern about a) the existence of institutional obstacles which prevent LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary, intersex) people from exercising the right to the free development of personality and; b) the weak protection LGBTI people receive from states, when they are subjected to violence because of intolerance.

Therefore recommends:

LI member parties to urge governments worldwide to remove all obstacles which prevent LGBTI people from the free development of personality.

Specifically, that governments recognize the right to gender identity allowing legal gender recognition for transgender people and the right of same-sex couples to marry and adopt children. Along the same lines, it is essential that governments strengthen the protection of LGBTI people from violence and discrimination on the part of intolerant sectors of the population.

Insists:

That no Liberal International Member Party in government shall introduce or support legislation which represses or discriminates against its LGBTI citizens
