Venezuelan political scientist and international affairs specialist with extensive experience in democratic advocacy, political strategy, and international relations. He serves as International Relations Director and Senior Foreign Affairs Advisor to María Corina Machado and the ConVzla campaign, and as International Affairs Coordinator for Vente Venezuela. He has coordinated engagement with governments, international organizations, political leaders, think tanks, and civil society across the Americas and Europe.

In 2024–2025, Urruchurtu was held hostage for 14 months inside the Argentine Embassy in Caracas, which was under siege by the Venezuelan regime, before being rescued in May 2025. He holds a Magna Cum Laude degree in Political Science and Administrative Studies from the Central University of Venezuela and is a 2016 Georgetown GCL alumnus and a 2026 Fisher Family Summer Fellow at Stanford University’s CDDRL. He currently serves as Coordinator of Political Parties at the Liberal Network of Latin America (RELIAL), where he previously served as Vice President. Since 2022, Pedro has represented RELIAL on the Human Rights Committee of Liberal International, bringing a Latin American perspective to the group.
