Noora Hammar has worked on issues pertaining to human rights in both a corporate and government environment. At present, she is the Stakeholder Relations Coordinator at OP Financial Group, the largest financial group in Finland and a keen practitioner of corporate responsibility. She is responsible for the human rights work and is the point person in creating the company’s human rights strategy, with a particular focus on environmental
matters and ensuring supply chain due diligence.
On the government side, Ms Hammar has worked as a Parliamentary Assistant to the Finnish Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services spending significant time working on human rights issues relating to the field of social issues and health care. Prior to that role, Ms Hammar was the Parliamentary Assistant for the Vice-Chair of the Development Committee in the European Parliament during which her work focussed heavily on sexual rights, the rights of women and children, and migration.
