Ben Jokinen joined the Liberal International Secretariat as our new office intern.
Ben will support the Secretariat’s administrative work, assisting with preparations for the Liberal International Congresses in Bangkok and Taipei, contributing to the Climate Justice and Fair Trade Committees, as well as assisting with the organisation of the Isaiah Berlin Lecture series.
Ben Jokinen joined the Liberal International Secretariat as our new office intern.
Ben will support the Secretariat’s administrative work, assisting with preparations for the Liberal International Congress in Bangkok and Taipei, contributing to the Climate Justice and Fair Trade Committees, as well as assisting with the organisation of the Isaiah Berlin Lecture series.
Ben is soon to graduate with a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki, with a focus on democracy and political philosophy. He previously also studied European Thought and Advocacy at Paris School of International Affairs, Sciences Po. Prior to joining Liberal International, Ben worked on several research projects, most recently developing his master’s thesis on deliberative quality into a research article as part of the RESLIDE project – The Resilience of Liberal Democracy in Finland.
Ben joins Liberal International through the Liberal Praktik internship programme, organised and funded by Svenska Bildningsförbundet. He has a strong interest in advocacy, safeguarding democracy, and normative political theory.
