Assiatou Bah-Diallo is a journalist and Member of Parliament for the Union des Forces Democratiques de Guinee, who was born and raised in the Republic of Guinea. In 1962, after finishing her Baccalaureate, Bah-Diallo was sent to Georgetown University, where she studied Applied Linguistics.

By being married to a political activist, Bah-Diallo has been actively involved in politics since 1968. She assisted my husband, Siradiou Diallo, in managing the opposition party he was leading, as well as in campaigning for presidency in the 1993’s elections. In 2004, her husband passed away and she was elected Vice President of the party he was heading.

She was awarded “the Voice of African Women” by Cosmopolitan Magazine, therefore she is a leading voicefor gender equality in Africa.
