Liberal International’s Human Rights Committee, in collaboration with the Europe-Georgia Institute, and Civic IDEA, has released a new report on human rights violations in Georgia. Prepared as a stakeholder contribution for the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR), the report documents torture and inhumane treatment during the November 2024–January 2025 protests. It highlights abuses including the use of dangerous weapons, violence against vulnerable groups, and evidence of government involvement. The review took place in January 2026.
