Jean-Jacques Flahaux has been a Municipal councillor since January 1983. Mr Flahaux was elected as a Mayor from January 1995 to December 2000 and then from December 2006 to September 2015

Jean-Jacques Flahaux was a Member of Parliament from 2007 to 2010 and since May 2014. And is currently President of Mouvement Réformateur International. Mr Flahaux is also the President of the Municipal Council since October 2015.

Mr Flahaux is a teacher in geopolitics and International relations in 2 upper schools.  His priority focuses on youth development and liberal capacity building. Every two weeks, Mr Flahaux hosts a video with the theme of International priorities.

As a candidate for the Liberal International Bureau, his goals for LI will be: more expansion of Liberals in Africa (the continent of tomorrow), Real development of our liberal family in Latin America; and campaigning that liberals are the only solution to counter populism and socialism.
